Since I attended Oprah’s Lifeclass Tour last Monday (April 16) in Toronto, Canada a lot of people have been asking me about my experience. I have been meaning to write a blog post about it for a while but haven’t had a chance till now.
My day started quite early, I was up at 4:45am and had to be at the Metro Convention Centre by 6am since we had general seating I knew that it would be a race to get good seats. Once we got there we made our way into the venue and secured some amazing seats after a minor debacle with one of the other women in our row who was saving seats for her friends.
The the full day seminar started around 9am with spiritualist Deepak Chopra taking the stage. He was such a inspiration and a pleasure to listen to. We got the opportunity to listen to the rest of the self-help gurus including Iyanla Vanzant who was an absolute hoot, Bishop T.D. Jakes and my personal favorite, Tony Robbins. I have never met anyone with more energy in the morning than Tony, I could honestly listen to him speak all day.
Finally around 12:15pm, the woman of the hour, Oprah, showed up! The crowd of 8,500 went absolutely bananas. For the next two hours Oprah filmed her Oprah’s Lifeclass finale which was based on “Gratitude.” The episode is set to air on April 30th so be sure to tune it!
All I can say was that it was an unbelievable experience. I would definitely do it again in a heart beat, Oprah was such a pleasure to see in person, she looks just like she does on TV. What I really loved about the whole event is that she took the time to go and see as many people in the audience as she could. Even the people who were way in the back, she made her way down there to say hello to all her fans. It was just incredible.
I included some photos I took with my iPhone, thanks to our seats we were able to see Oprah up close and personal when she came to say “Hi” to all her fans, none of the photos were zoomed in.
Hope you enjoy!
xx
