If you want to catch the attention of a Sports Illustrated cover girl you have to get creative, and that’s exactly what Jake Davidson did!
The 17-year-old high school senior posted a video asking Kate Upton to prom and the 20-year-old model has officially responded to his request, “How could I turn down that video! I’ll check my schedule ” she tweeted to Davidson.
However Jake got a surprise this morning when he appeared on the ‘TODAY Show‘ and received a call from Kate, “I absolutely love the video,” she said. “It was so hilarious and so creative. Thank you so much for doing that, I really appreciate it.”
Jake was speechless however he did chat with Upton replying, “This just got so much better now that you’re on the phone. I’m telling you it will be a great night, great evening –- I could even get the curfew extended hopefully by my parents maybe. We could go to a great dinner before. I hope you’d be interested if your schedule is free, and what time should I pick you up if you are interested?”
Kate still didn’t give Jake a definite answer about the prom but is hopeful, “I definitely have to check my schedule, but you seem like so much fun and if everything works out, I’d love to go with you,” Upton said.
“I know we’d have a blast.”"I know we would,” Davidson said. “Thank you.”
Temperatures soared this morning as boy band 98 Degrees reunited after 10 years on the ‘Today‘ show on Friday (August 17) in New York City.
Brothers Nick Lachey and Drew Lachey, Jeff Timmons and Justin Jeffre were all present as they took the stage and performed some of their hits in front of screaming fans during ‘Today’s Toyota Summer Concert Series.
“The glamourous life of a singer, up at 4:30am trying to warm up my voice for #98degrees appearance on @todayshow. Psyched to perform today!!” Nick tweeted this morning.
Showing off her svelte figure, Jordin Sparks never looked better as she appeared on the ‘Today Show‘ on Tuesday (August 14) in New York City.
The 22-year-old singer who shed 50lbs looked fabulous in an floral optical illusion Nicole Miller Artelier dress as she promoted her new film ‘Sparkle.’
During her interview on the morning show, Jordin opened up about what it was like to work with the late Whitney Houston, “It was incredible. Just taking out of it the acting side, as a singer I grew up listening to her music and idolizing her so, that’s intimidating and really fun at the same time. And she made it so comfortable.”
“She’s always delivered in her on-screen performances, so for me, I was just like, ‘What can I learn.’ I was just this sponge soaking up everything she was doing — little nuances, how she would change things. She was the consummate professional. … As soon as they yelled, ‘Action!’ she was just (her ‘Sparkle’ character) Emma … I’d go, ‘Oh, my gosh. This is Whitney!’ Then I’d go, ‘Is she really mad at me right now?’ She was so great at it.”
