Joseph Gordon-Levitt who appeared in ‘The Dark Knight Rises‘ could play Batman in the upcoming film ‘Justice League.’

‘Justice League’ is set to hit theaters in 2015 but the rumor mill has been going overtime recently with fans wondering who will take on the roles of Superman, Batman, Green Lantern, Wonder Woman, Aquaman and the Flash.

Hitfix is reporting that “Joseph Gordon-Levitt absolutely will be appearing in ‘Justice League’ as the new Batman,” but nothing has been officially set.

Christian Bale took a break from promoting his new film ‘The Dark Knight Rises‘ to visit the victims of the Aurora, Colorado shooting on Tuesday (July 24).

The Academy-Award winning actor spent about two-and-a-half hours at the Medical Center of Aurora and among the victims he visited was, Carey Rottman, who posted the above photo on his Facebook page.

Over the weekend, Bale released a formal statement about the horrific event offering his condolences to victims’ families and friends, “Words cannot express the horror that I feel. I cannot begin to truly understand the pain and grief of the victims and their loved ones, but my heart goes out to them.”

Still feeling the aftermath of the tragedy that hit Colorado, the ‘Two and a Half Men‘ actor and the ‘Black Swan‘ actress decided in choosing a theatre beside the local police station.

In other news, the couple were spotted locking lips over the weekend during an L.A. wrap party for Kutcher’s film ‘Jobs.’
