Taylor Swift and Justin Bieber came out on top at the 2012 American Music Awards which took place on Sunday (November 18) at Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in Los Angeles, CA.

Usher opened up the show with an energetic performance, other performances included Carly Rae Jepsen who also picked up the award for New Artist of the Year, No Doubt, Ke$ha, Kelly Clarkson, Taylor Swift who sang her new upcoming single “I Knew You Were Trouble,” Justin Bieber, Nicki Minaj, Pink, Christina Aguilera, Pitbull, Linkin Park, Carrie Underwood as well as Stevie Wonder who paid tribute to the late Dick Clark.

YouTube sensation Psy closed off the show with his hit “Gangnam Style” which included a special appearance by MC Hammer!

Reflecting Billboard’s chart rankings, the 2012 Billboard Music Awards took place on Sunday night (May 20) held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Hosted by ‘Modern Family‘s Ty Burrell and Julie Bowen, the show brought out some of the best in music including performances from LMFAO, Justin Bieber, Usher, Kelly Clarkson, Chris Brown, Linkin Park, Carrie Underwood, Nelly Furtado, Stevie Wonder and Alicia Keys.

During the night Taylor Swift was honoured with Billboards’ “Woman of the Year” award and Whitney Houston was honoured with the Millennium award. Jordin Sparks and John Legend performed a beautiful tribute to the late icon.

Whitney Houston Laid to Rest (PHOTOS)

After a memorable service honouring her life, Whitney Houston was finally be laid to rest on Sunday (February 19) at the Fairview Cemetery in Westfield, New Jersey.

The 48-year-old singer who was found dead last Saturday in a bathtub at the Beverly Hills Hotel was buried alongside her father, John Russell Houston, Jr.

Houston was remembered by friends and family yesterday at the New Hope Baptist Church where Kevin Costner, Clive Davis, Alicia Keys, Stevie Wonder and more paid their respects to the late singer.
