Stopping by the ‘Ellen DeGeneres Show‘ for her first ever solo-interview, Paris Jackson sat with Ellen DeGeneres as she discussed her late father Michael Jackson, those masks she wore and her eagerness to act.
Remembering her father’s advice: “He said, ‘If I die tomorrow, always remember what I told you.’ I took his advice, and I remembered everything he told me.”
On her eagerness to act: “When I was really little, my Dad was in the movie ‘Moonwalker,’ and I knew he could sing really well, but I didn’t know he could act. I saw that and I said, ‘Wow, I want to be just like him.’”
On wearing those infamous masks: “I [was] like ‘This is stupid why am I wearing a mask?’ But I kind of realized the older I got like he only tried to protect us and he’d explain that to us too.”
Dr. Conrad Murray arrived in court today (November 29) to find out his fate weeks after he was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter in the death of Michael Jackson.
Judge Michael Pastor has sentenced Murray to four years in jail after saying “Dr. Murray abandoned his patient.” The judge also told Murray he was “deceitful” and a “liar” and was reckless with his treatment of the singer calling it “a cycle of horrible medicine.”
Though Murray received the maximum sentence it is unlikely that he will serve all four years because of the new California law which means he will probably serve half the time.
Judge Pastor also ordered Murray to pay “appropriate restitution” to the Estate and to Jackson’s three children, the prosecution requested he pay $100 million.
