She’s the queen of controversy but it looks like Madonna wasn’t amused by M.I.A.‘s negative gesture during their halftime performance during the Super Bowl last weekend.
The “Material Girl” spoke to Ryan Seacrest during his radio show on Friday morning (February 10) and felt that M.I.A.’s stunt was tacky.
“I was really surprised. I didn’t know anything about it. I wasn’t happy about it. I understand it’s punk rock and everything, but to me there was such a feeling of love and good energy and positivity; it seemed negative,” Madonna said.
She continued to say, “It’s such a teenager, irrelevant thing to do. … There was such a feeling of love and unity there. What was the point? It was just out of place.”
Madonna has said that M.I.A has apologized to her for the stunt.
