Getting some extra exposure for No Doubt‘s new album Push and Shove, front-woman Gwen Stefani covers the September 2012 issue of Harper’s Bazaar.
Shot by Terry Richardson, the singer poses in a pink Jil Sander gown and an Alexis Mabille Couture hat and dishes about her obsession with makeup (she put’s it on twice a day!) and fitness.
On her obsession with makeup: “I’ve always been a girl who loves to dress up. I already put my makeup on twice today: I put it on to take my kid to school, and then I went home, washed my face, and put it on again to have lunch with you. I like to make my husband like me more, and he likes it when I’m wearing makeup.”
On fitness: “I hate talking about my body [all the time]; it’s ridiculous. There is no secret: You just have to eat healthy, work out, and torture yourself! But it’s more for my brain than it is for my body. I like to wear clothes too much, so I try to keep focused.”
On balancing work and motherhood: “It’s, like, the real deal, dude. It’s superfun being a mom, but it’s hard too. Finding that balance between work and family is the hardest thing I’ve ever done—by far.”
Promoting her upcoming film ‘Snow White and the Huntsman,’ actress Kristen Stewart covers the June 2012 issue of Elle UK.
The 22-year-old star channels Jackie O with her raven retro boufant as she poses for the cover in a cropped white Jil Sander sweater and skirt.
In the issue Stewart talks about her style saying, “I just wear very functional clothes. When I’m in London I feel so dressed down and young and Californian. Even if I try to look nice when I go out for dinner, I just don’t have that thing. I will always wear no socks in be like, ‘F***, it’s freezing; what am I doing?’”
Kristen also addressed being a role model to her fans, “I don’t apply [being a role model] to the choices I make. I feel like a role model is not necessarily somebody you want to imitate, just someone you admire.”
‘Snow White and the Huntsman’ opens in theaters on June 1st!
