Stepping out to premiere their new film, Gemma Arterton and Jeremy Renner hit the red carpet for the ‘Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters‘ premiere on Thursday (January 24) held at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, CA.

The 27-year-old actress looked gorgeous in a black flowing Gucci gown along with a gold hairband while Renner pulled off a black and midnight blue Lanvin suit.

At the premiere, Gemma admitted that she loved playing Gretel,”It was a real relief to play that kind of part – usually you still have to have a romantic connection with one of the characters, but in this one I don’t and it’s great.”

With her exotic look and her talent for dance and acting it’s no surprise that Tal Berkovich is becoming a household name. The Israeli born actress/model started modelling in Milan and has taken her modelling career to London, Barcelona, Istanbul, Bangkok, Hong Kong, Poland, Ibiza, Moscow, Berlin and Paris.

Tal has studied at the renowned Actors’ Temple School in London and has appeared in films like Disney‘s ‘The Prince of Persia‘ starring Jake Gyllenhaal, and Richard Curtis’ ‘The Boat that Rocked‘ starring Philip Seymour HoffmanRhys Ifans and Gemma Arterton.

This beauty also showed off her impressive dance moves on the Israeli version of ‘Strictly Come Dancing‘ and has interviewed many of the world’s A-listers on the hit show ‘Paparazzi.’

In my interview with Tal, she opens up about what keeps her grounded and she gives some amazing advice to young women who want to follow in her footsteps.

Read my full interview below…

Vicky B. Online: At age 20 you packed up your bags and moved to Milan. Did you always know you wanted to be a model?

Tal: No I did not, modelling wasn’t something that I thought about. I used to be a classical ballet dancer, I started at the age of 4. I dreamed of being the Prima ballerina in the New York City Ballet.  But unfortunately I hurt my knee when I was 20 years old and I couldn’t do it in a professional way anymore. So I packed a bag and moved to Milan. To earn money whilst I was there I decided to start modelling.

Vicky B. Online: Did you find the transition from modeling to acting difficult or natural?

Tal: Acting and modelling are two very different professions, when modelling you always need to look good and keep your emotion for yourself. On the other hand acting is all about being truthful to your emotions, and showing them.

Vicky B. Online: Unlike other actresses/models you have kept away from the party scene. What keeps you grounded and how do you stay so focused?

Tal: My best friends are my childhood friends, and I speak to them every day no matter where I am in the world, it always reminds me where I came from. To stay focussed I work very hard, so in the evening I’m very tired and I don’t have the time or energy to party!

Vicky B. Online: What would you say is your biggest accomplishment so far?

Tal: It was great doing Strictly Come Dancing recently in Israel, and I’ve very much enjoyed acting in films such as Disney’s The Prince of Persia starring Jake Gyllenhaal, and Richard Curtis’s  The Boat that Rocked starring Rhys Ifans and Gemma Arterton; and I’m still working on making my greatest accomplishment.

Vicky B. Online: What advice would u give to girls who are trying to establish careers as models and or actresses?

Tal: Firstly I would say, they shouldn’t do it before the age of 18, they should first finish their studies, just because it’s better to establish your core values before getting into this industry. Then I would recommend getting a really good agent who believes in you in the long term, not just one looking to make a profit from you. It’s very important to not diet and over exercising in the gym and always remember that there are different markets for different body shapes that you would fit in to.

Vicky B. Online: What can we expect from you in the future?

Tal: There is so much I want to do, I would love to star in films directed by Polanski and other big directors that I love; as well as shooting campaigns for brands that I love.
