Singer Christina Aguilera made a small flub at last night’s Super Bowl game while singing the national anthem. The five-time Grammy winner sang the wrong line during one of the versus, instead of singing “O’er the ramparts we watched, were so gallantly streaming?” Aguilera fumbled and sang “What so proudly we watched at the twilight’s last gleaming.”
Christina has replied to her critics regarding the mistake saying, “I got so caught up in the moment of the song that I lost my place,” says the star. “I can only hope that everyone could feel my love for this country and that the true spirit of its anthem still came through.”
Everyone makes mistakes, she still sang it beautifully.
