Actress Demi Lovato will not be returning to the Disney show that made her a breakthrough star, ‘Sonny With a Chance‘ and instead opts to focus on her music career.
Lovato opened up to People magazine saying, “It made sense for me to go ahead and leave the show to focus on my music.” She continued to say “I don’t think going back to Sonny would be healthy for my recovery, being in front of a camera would make me nervous.”
A rep for Disney said this about Lovato’s decision to leave the show, “We respect Demi’s decision to focus full time on her music and not immediately return to her acting career. She is a talented young woman and our hearts are with her as she continues to take action to improve her health and bounce back from adversity.”
Lovato entered a rehab facility back in October 2010 for “physical and emotional” issues, she’s currently on the road to recovery. Demi opens up about her meltdown last year in an interview with ‘20/20‘ airing this Friday (April 22) at 10PM/EST.
Update: Demi just tweeted, “Sonny was a chapter in my life I will be forever grateful for.. Thank you all for watching.. Can’t wait to see the new format for So Random!”
Charlie Sheen was in court today (pictured above arriving at the courthouse) to fight for sole custody of his two twin boys, Max and Bob, from his ex-wife Brooke Mueller. Unfortunately it wasn’t a winning situation for the actor as the judge granted no changes to the existing custody agreement which was first made on March 10th.
Sheen decided to try and fight for custody after Mueller reentered rehab after refusing a drug test. While Mueller is in treatment, her mother Moira Fiore will provide care for the twins.
Life & Style magazine got an exclusive peek inside Mariah Carey‘s baby nursery!! Carey who is married to Nick Cannon and carrying twins is due in the next few weeks.
Carey gave Life & Style an exclusive interview saying “I wanted to create a beautiful, tranquil, cozy environment for the babies,” she continues to say “Everything matches, but pieces are individualized to celebrate the twins as separate entities.”
What’s Carey’s favorite part about the whole nursery? “The ceiling has orangey-pink clouds in a blue sky with golden stars twinkling. It’s based on two songs I wrote that are fan favorites: ‘Underneath the Stars’ and ‘Close My Eyes.”
