Every wondered what Carrie Bradshaw and her friends Miranda, Samantha and Charlotte were like as teenagers?
AnnaSophia Robb has started promotions for the prequel to the highly successful HBO series ‘Sex and the City‘ and the trailer for ‘The Carrie Diaries‘ screams ’80s glamour!
However fans should not expect a miniaturized version of iconic HBO show made famous by Sarah Jessica Parker, “We didn’t want to do the Baby Muppets syndrome – ‘Oh it’s baby Samantha! It’s baby Miranda!’ ” executive producer Amy B. Harris told fans during a screening of the premiere episode on Monday (October 22).
The one thing that will definitely be obvious as a a nod to the original show is the fashion. ‘Gossip Girl‘ costume designer Eric Daman will take over the reigns in the style department, “I know that there are a lot of women – a lot of people around the world – who hold Carrie Bradshaw as this fashion icon,” Daman said at the premiere. “So to be able to go back in time and pre-design who she is and lay the DNA of where she is going is very important.”
Unfortunately we have to wait till January for the series debut.
