Just weeks after Prince Harry was snapped partying nude in Las Vegas, the Royal family is dealing with another photo scandal and this time the Duchess of Cambridge is in the spotlight as a French magazine has published topless photos of Kate Middleton while she was sunbathing on vacation with Prince William earlier this month.
The Royal couple who are currently in Malaysia as part of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee tour are reportedly very “saddened” and “disappointed” by the published photos in French magazine Closer.
“The incident is reminiscent of the worst excesses of the press and paparazzi during the life of Diana, Princess of Wales, and all the more upsetting to the Duke and Duchess for being so,” St. James’s Palace said in a statement.
“Their Royal Highnesses had every expectation of privacy in the remote house. It is unthinkable that anyone should take such photographs, let alone publish them.”
The Royal family does plan to sue over the photos, ”Officials acting on behalf of Their Royal Highnesses are consulting with lawyers to consider what options may be available to the Duke and Duchess. The Duke and Duchess remain focused currently on their Tour of Singapore, Malaysia, Solomon Islands and Tuvalu on behalf of HM The Queen,” Miguel Head, the royal couple’s press secretary said in a statement.
