It’s not the first time that beauty and fashion brands have come under fire for abusing the airbrushing tool on their advertising campaigns.

Rachel Weisz‘s newest ad camapaign for L’Oreal‘s Revitalift Repair 10 skin cream has been banned in the UK because the ad is “misleadingly exaggerated.”

Liberal Democrat MP Jo Swinson is very vocal about the issue of beauty brands misleading consumers saying “It’s not purely about women, there’s big pressures on men as well. It’s not purely a feminist issue. Along with these idealized images there is also a very pervasive message that what matters for women is how they look.”
