We’ve already seen photos from the ‘Spring Breakers‘ set and now Selena Gomez, Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Benson and Rachel Korine getting wild in candy colored bikinis for Interview magazine.
The film which doesn’t hit theaters till next year tells the story of four college girls who land themselves in jail after robbing a restaurant in order to fund their spring break vacation. The quartet find themselves being bailed out by a drug dealer (James Franco) who wants them to do some dirty work.
As to why take on such a racy role, Gomez says that she wanted to break out of her good girl mold, “I was getting kind of repetitive in terms of the roles I was picking, and I really wanted to do something that was completely different,” she says. “It was a mark thing for me—like, ‘This is what I want to be doing.’ I want to be taking myself seriously as an actress, and this was definitely a stretch.”
“I mean, I’d never smoked a cigarette before in my entire life. It was really funny—they had to show me how to do it,” she added.
