Silencing her critics, Beyonce kicked off the Super Bowl press conference on Thursday (January 31) by singing the National Anthem live at the New Orleans Convention Center.
During the press conference, the 31-year-old entertainer answered questions starting off with addressing the lip-syncing controversy at President Obama‘s inauguration, “I am a perfectionist. I did not have time to rehearse with the orchestra for a live television show and a very very important emotional show for me one of my proudest moments,” Beyonce told the crowd.
“I did not feel comfortable taking a risk. It was about the president and the inauguration and I wanted to make him and our country proud so I decided to sing along with my prerecorded track. I’m very proud of my performance.”
As for if she will be singing live at the Super Bowl, “I will absolutely be singing live,” Beyonce said. “This is what I was born to do.”

Trying to stay healthy during her pregnancy, Kim Kardashian hit the Tracy Anderson gym on Thursday (January 31) in Studio City, California.
The 32-year-old reality star showed visible signs of a growing baby bump while walking to her car after her daily workout.
Earlier this week, Kim stopped by ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live‘ where she talked about wanting to keep the baby’s life private, “When the baby is old enough and she or he decides that’s what they want to do, then that will be a decision,” she said. “From the start, as of now, that’s just a personal choice that Kanye and I have made. We’re going to try to keep it as private as possible.”
